Blue dragonfly on water plant. Contrary to the old wives’ tale, dragonflies don’t sting. They catch other insects while flying over the water.






 




Black swallowtail and Monarch butterflies on a Purple Coneflower (Echinacea). Both of these insects are important pollinators of our wildflowers.
