Wilton Mourns the Passing of Michael Tatro

Wilton Mourns the Passing of Michael Tatro
Posted on 01/25/2024

Michael Tatro, Wilton’s Director of Public Works of nearly two years, passed away on the morning of January 22nd 2024. While his tenure was cut tragically short, during his time working for the Town of Wilton, Michael consistently demonstrated great professionalism and care in his work that more than earned him the title, “Director of Public Works”, entrusted to him by the Select Board.  He cared greatly for his employees, colleagues, and the public he served, and executed his duties with a conscientious pride that could be measured against any other person that filled the role or similar roles in Wilton or in other communities around the state. Wilton’s public officials and employees extend their sincere condolences to Michael’s family, and posthumously thank him for his service as a manager, leader, worker, colleague, and friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion, 538 West Main Street in Hillsboro on Saturday, February 3rd from 1-5.  All are welcome.

Sincerely,

Nick Germain,
Town Administrator
