Please Stop and Think:

  • Slow down! Remember this is a one way traffic area!
  • If you weigh in over the scale you must go around and circle back to weigh out over the scale. Please pull off the scale after weighing out to prevent blocking the scale.
  • Fees apply to the demolition/landfill containers with a few exceptions such as; kitty litter and glass items (that are not accepted in the glass bins). Outside of these items you must see attendant before dropping off anything into these containers. Fees apply to everyone!!! – no favoritism is to be shown to any one person or persons. We are all equal. Questions? See Carol.
  • Payment is due when fee-based item/s are dropped off. Cash or check only at this time. Please have phone number and correct address on your check.
We have several ongoing requests:
  • Sort your recyclables at home to alleviate congestion at the recycling stations.
  • Plastics are easy – bottles only!
  • #1’s = clear or see thru and #2’s = solid color containers and “milk” jugs are any container that is translucent. Remember no pesticide, oil, fuel, paint or auto related containers.
  • Paper products are easy too!
  • Newspapers include inserts, and mixed papers are NON-corrugated fibers, including magazines.
  • Corrugated cardboard has a jingle to remember; Ruffles have ridges – so does corrugated cardboard!
  • Glass is also simple – bottles and jars only, separated by color. All other glass in the demolition/landfill containers.
  • Aluminum cans are simple too! Beverage cans only!! This is a very profitable commodity – if not contaminated with other items. Please pay attention to what you drop off in that bin. Other types of aluminum cans/containers go into the steel can bin.
  • Steel cans include all other types of aluminum cans except the beverage cans.
QUESTIONS? Just ask!

Several reminders - please read the following:
  • All solid waste trash is household garbage only. Must be in close bags. No trash from clean-out of garages, sheds, basements, rooms or yards and no bulky waste (furniture/hoses etc.) or construction debris. These items cause issues with the compactor.
  • The brush pile has ongoing issues that needs to be resolved. Costly repairs to the chipper is a burden on all of us. NO stumps, lumber, metal, plastic, brush over 5” in diameter or yard waste. This is a service we are providing, therefore “If you see something – say something”. If these problems continue all loads will need to be checked in the future. This is unfair for those who respect the requirements and appreciate or need this convenience.

We thank you all for your continued cooperation and support!
