Help clean-up our wonderful town! The plan is to meet Saturday May 11th at 9 a.m. at the Wilton Police Department parking lot where we will distribute garbage bags and learn where you're planning to clean up trash so we can send a pickup later in the morning to pick up the bags.
Then at 12:30 we'll all meet back at the Wilton Main Street Park for a communal wet-wipe hand-washing followed by a pizza party (gluten free available if anyone asks for it) with drinks, snacks and desserts. There will also be a picture with the small mountain of trash that all of collect as a group. It is immensely satisfying to be a part of something bigger than just one's own effort and to see how much unsightly garbage we as a group have removed working together!
Of course, we are all able to pick up roadside trash any of the 365 days of the year. The Wilton Community Center, however. likes the opportunity to bring together all sorts of people who will give their time and energy to making Wilton a better place. In these introductions we find more ways to cooperate and find connections among us. I hope your schedule and health will allow you to join us on Saturday!
